Supplemental Security Income (SSI) is a federal income support program. It is designed to help aged, blind, or disabled people who have little or no income. It provides cash to meet basic needs such as food, clothing, and shelter.

Social Security Disability Insurance
Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) is a federal income support program. It is designed to help aged, blind, or disabled people who have paid Social Security taxes via employment in the past. It provides cash assistance to meet an individual's basic needs. Unlike SSI, there is no income limit for individuals to receive SSDI.

Medicare
Medicare is the federal health insurance program for people who are 65 or older and who have paid Medicare taxes through work for at least 10 years, certain people with disabilities.
Depending on which type of Medicare you are eligible for, Medicare will cover hospital care, outpatient doctor care, and/or prescription medication.

Premium Tax Credits
Premium Tax Credits (PTCs) are discounts that lower your monthly health insurance payment (called your premium) in a Health Insurance Marketplace plan. Your PTC is based on your income and household size.
You will find out whether you qualify for PTCs after you fill out an application for health insurance coverage on the Marketplace. There is no independent application for PTCs.

Cost Sharing Reductions
Cost Sharing Reductions (CSRs) are discounts that lower the amount you have to pay for deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance in certain Health Insurance Marketplace plans. They are often called "extra savings."
You will find out whether you qualify for CSRs after you fill out an application for health insurance coverage on the Marketplace. There is no independent application for CSRs.
